Echo Technology builds cross-platform mobile apps in React Native: one codebase, native feel, shipped to iOS and Android without maintaining two separate teams of code.

We're deliberate about when a mobile app is the right call versus a well-built responsive web app. If the answer is genuinely mobile (field crews, drivers, staff without a desk), React Native gets you both platforms from one build instead of doubling the cost to cover iOS and Android separately.

This is for businesses with a genuine mobile use case: field service or trade teams who need an app that works without signal, a consumer product that needs push notifications and home-screen presence, or an internal tool used by staff who are never at a desk. If your team spends the day on-site rather than behind a browser tab, that's usually the strongest signal a native app is worth the extra build cost.

It's not the right fit if a responsive website would do the same job for less. We'll tell you that directly in discovery rather than building a mobile app because it sounds more impressive than a web app.

Build happens in React Native with test builds on real devices throughout, not just simulators. Launch covers app store and Play store submission, including the review back-and-forth both platforms require. Support continues after launch. OS updates land every year, and an unmaintained app quietly breaks without someone making a habit of watching for it.

Do I need a native app, or would a website work just as well?+

Often a website works just as well, and we'll say so. Mobile apps earn their cost when you need offline access, push notifications, or device features like camera/GPS. If none of those apply, a responsive web app is usually the cheaper, faster answer.

Why React Native instead of separate native iOS and Android apps?+

One codebase covers both platforms, which roughly halves the ongoing maintenance burden compared to two fully separate native apps, while still delivering a native look and feel. Fully native makes sense for apps pushing hardware limits. Most business apps don't need that.

Does the app work if there's no signal (a real problem for field teams)?+

It can, if that's scoped in from the start. ECHOSYNC, our own field-service app, is built around exactly that: log work offline, sync automatically once connection returns. It has to be designed in from day one, not added afterwards.

Who submits the app to the App Store and Google Play, us or you?+

We handle the submission process using your developer accounts, so you retain ownership of the listings. You'll need an Apple Developer account and Google Play Console account under your business. We guide you through setting those up.

What happens when Apple or Google update their OS and something breaks?+

This is why mobile apps need an ongoing support arrangement rather than a build-and-walk-away approach. OS updates land on a predictable annual cycle and can break specific features; a support plan means someone's watching for that instead of you finding out from angry users.

What does a mobile app cost, and how long does it take to build?+

It depends heavily on scope: offline sync, device integrations and back-end complexity all move the number. You'll get a fixed quote and a realistic build timeline once discovery has established exactly what the app needs to do, rather than a ballpark figure that ignores your actual requirements.
